We are actively seeking 2 Production Supervisors to work at one of our local clients (one is a traditional M-F first shift- the other opening is a 3 day per week 12 hour shift (6am to 6pm)  The Production Supervisor will  focus on continuously improving productivity, processes, and team skillsets through training, cross-training and persistent motivation of the team.  Strong communication with other departments such as Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, EHS, Maintenance and Waste Treatment is crucial to managing resources, scheduling, and customer expectations driven by internal metrics.  

Role and Responsibilities:

• Promote the Safety-First principle with employees.
• Allocate personnel to meet the production demand schedule
• Ensure punctual, reliable, and acceptable attendance and approves employee’s hours including overtime and PTO
• Establish and monitor productivity goals for the manufacturing equipment
• Monitor production activities to obtain on-time deliveries to customers. Work with the Production Manager to adjust schedules and/or priorities as necessary to be successful.
• Visible leadership presence with 80% or more time spent on the production floor
• Evaluate machine capacity to ensure efficient production with minimal downtime
• Work with the Production Manager to develop SOP’s and training documents to improve workflows and training
• Investigate and resolve production issues
• Assist in employee onboarding, performance evaluation, feedback, promotion, retention, and termination activities
• Be an energic, positive leader with high motivation
