Perform a wide variety of material handling and set-up duties to install and maintain injection molds and machinery to ensure the quality manufacture of injection molded products. This position requires a strong drive to learn new skills. Perform material handling duties regarding material movements to/from the production area.  Assist with the installation of molds and job setups including supporting equipment such as, mold hot runner temperature controllers, cooling lines, materials, set up chutes, conveyors, fixtures and cooling jigs.   Learn through assisting the Molding Technician with set up the machine process i.e., parameters including velocities, pressures, timers process temperatures and maintains cycle times within established standards.   Performs color changes and setup color concentrate feeder to ensure proper letdown ratios. Inspect parts as necessary to ensure part quality within established quality standards and specifications i.e., measure, weigh and perform final inspection for all products using blueprints, scales, calipers and height gauges.   Assist with mold maintenance in the injection mold department including disassembly, cleaning, polishing, lubricating and component replacement to maintain proper operation of molds.   Setup, operate and learn to maintain automation systems running in parallel with the injection mold machines.
