Seeking a highly skilled Master Assembler to join our team. The candidate will independently assemble, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, including power units and hydraulic builds. This role requires planning and leading projects, supervising and mentoring staff, and conducting quality control inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently assemble, troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment, including power units and hydraulic builds.
- Complete all phases of assembly and installation on parts and components.
- Assemble major components for LS and HS assemblies, mixer heads, and vessels with minimal supervision.
- Perform bearing and seal installations and assemble bottom and side scrapers.
- Efficiently manage hydraulic piping and power unit assembly.
Quality Control and Inspection:
- Conduct peer inspections and quality checks to ensure standards are met.
- Perform pressure and vacuum testing to verify component integrity.
- Accurately apply ID tags, stickers, and labels to finished products.
- Complete necessary documentation
Project Leadership and Training:
- Plan and lead assembly projects, coordinating with team members to meet deadlines.
- Serve as a supervisor and mentor for assembly operations.
- Train junior assemblers in best practices and techniques.
Technical Skills and Tool Operation:
- Utilize mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and bills of material.
- Accurately use measurement tools, including tape measures, levels, and squares.
- Operate hand tools and shop equipment, such as angle grinders, torches, and drills.
- Identify steel types (carbon vs. stainless) and differentiate between standard and metric fittings (nuts, bolts, washers).
- Assist in the assembly of components and sub-assemblies under supervision.
- Operate industrial fork trucks and material handling equipment.
