The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for monitoring the quality of products during each stage of the manufacturing process, providing timely feedback to key personnel and executing division and plant operating policies and procedures.
Duties: 1) Follow all plant work, safety, quality, legal/regulatory, and food safety requirements.
2) Perform receiving, job start-up, in-process and final inspection and testing IAW series 10.
3) Establish and/or maintain work standards IAW series 11 procedures (i.e. color standards, gage blocks, weights, etc.)
4) Calibrate and perform PM of test equipment IAW series 11 procedures (i.e. tensile testers, micrometer, Mettler balance, Elmendorf tear tester, templates, etc.)
5) Identify discrepant material IAW series 13 procedures.
6) Complete DRD=s, Inspection records, Process Audits, DN=s, DN logs and COC=s thoroughly.
7) Participate in corrective action efforts (internal/external) as directed by PQM/PM.
8) Perform general housekeeping in lab and collect samples for sample room.
9) Maintain active and inactive quality records IAW series 16.
10) Perform tasks as assigned by PQM.
