  • Plans and directs activities related to the procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.  
  • Develops procedures and control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures.
  • Maintains balanced inventory levels on all purchased material.
  • Forecasts level of monthly shipments.
  • Generates plan to achieve budgeted goals.  
  • Manage a continuous inventory supply
  • Forecasts inventory levels to anticipate inventory levels 
  • Works closely with Marketing and Sales to properly forecast new product timelines and sales.
  • Provide leadership to the planning personnel in effectively utilizing MRP, MPS and availability in the supply chain.
  • Responsible for sourcing and supplying raw materials, outside services, as well as coordinating global procurement efforts.
  • Coordinates with accounting on matters involving inventory, costs and quantities.
  • Direct improved communication and smooth interface between departments regarding plans, programs or problems. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or over 5 years work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • MRP (supply/demand process)
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge
