You direct/coordinates all the activities necessary for keeping production lines up and running. The maintenance supervisor is responsible for providing leadership to a team of mechanics and to implement and execute department goals. This key leader will provide communication for shift transitions and pass on clearly to the oncoming maintenance shift of the daily issues and turnover items. Functions at a high level of mechanical knowledge. Ability to comprehend and repair most equipment failures. Strong understanding and ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems. Managing maintenance KPIs is required. Set priorities and preventative maintenance work based on plant action items and failure maintenance requests. Oversee root cause analysis/reliability strategies in terms of continuous improvement and operational excellence of the maintenance shift. Hold maintenance mechanics accountable for work related duties (attendance, work order documentation and performance). Work cross functionally with different plant departments to support plant operation (food safety, plant safety, production, human resources).
In-depth knowledgeable of applicable fields, like Pneumatics, Plumbing, Electricity, Hydraulics, and general maintenance of industrial equipment. In-depth knowledge of Beverage Manufacturing Operations or transferable skill-sets from food and manufacturing process in a similar industry.Knowledge of PLC’S & Electronics.
