Performs moderate to complex assembly and testing oversight focused on design maturity to higher levels of Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL). Provides direct technical assistance to the Production and O&R supervisors. Leverage skills to improve production throughput, quality, repeatability, and efficiency. Responsible for production personnel cross-training and certifications, utilizing the production cross-training matrix tool. Assists all Assembly Technician I, II and III personnel to mature product, process, and testing capabilities. Assists with new or problematic assemblies on the production floor requiring high level technical assistance. Compile data, advanced work instructions, pictures, videos, and job close out material to rapidly mature new or problematic assemblies. Provide direct hands-on technical support on the production floor and needed training for all Assembly Technician I, II and III personnel. Makes regular suggestions for mechanical or electrical modifications to rapidly mature new design for producibility. Works as the main conduit with Mechanical and Electrical design engineers. Contributes to engineering new job kick off process. Writes Production testing data sheets. Authors product process Routers and field return Failure Analysis documentation. Designs needed fixturing to improve producibility and efficiency. Document complex processes involved with assembly and testing. Performs key electrical function on Materials Review Board (MRB). Proficient with all RF & Fiber Optic test equipment. Sets up Automated testing lines (ATE w/ Matlab desirable). Knowledgeable of Microwave assembly tooling, fixturing and techniques.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial engineering or equivalent focused in RF/microwave product development.Minimum five years related experience in the RF passive microwave testing and assembly environment.RF passive microwave component testing and assembly supervisor experience (Desirable, not required)
