Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent 6-10 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in designing work flows and procedures. Performs a wide variety of duties to plan, coordinate and direct quality assurance programs designed to ensure quality production of products consistent with established standards, and to formulate and maintain quality assurance objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals. This is a supervisory position with two direct reports.
Create and foster a Quality Culture Create and or interpret Quality Standards Communicate the Quality Standards inside and outside the organization. Make decisions or “calls” as to the acceptability of an item or system. Assist Quality Technicians and Manufacturing personnel with quality standards. Develop, implement, train and manage the complaint system. Develop, implement and report cost of quality to senior management. Communicate with sales and service regarding quality issues. Communicate with and travel to customers to understand quality issues. Keep management team informed of significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and actions being taken to improve the situation. Direct technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities. Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards. Play an active role on quality management teams within the organization. In conjunction with managers, design and implement quality assurance training programs for personnel. Develop, manage and standardize procedures.
