Local Manufacturing company seeking a Quality Engineer/CMM Programmer to join their team. This position is full time, Monday - Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm and starting pay at $38+/HR depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
  • Approve in-process production by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating the required adjustments to the production supervisor
  • Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds of weight
  • Experience with CMM, calipers, micrometers, height and pin gages, depth gages, Vernier’s, Hardness testing
  • Dexterity and preciseness required to operate gauges and testing equipment
  • Complete understanding of dimensional blueprint reading, technical specifications, standards and geometric dimensioning
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Cosmetic understanding of what is acceptable and what is a reject
  • Previous experience within injection molding industry preferred
  • Other duties as assigned 

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass preemployment drug and background screening
  • Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR Facility)
  • A minimum of 5 years in a Quality position required
  • Good Manual Dexterity
  • Must have Microsoft Office experience including advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • H.S. or technical school education, or equivalent, with strong mathematical ability, A.S. preferred
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings
  • ISO 9001 experience preferred
  • Green Belt certification and Lean knowledge a plus
  • Ability to read directions to complete a task
  • Strong math skills
  • Ability to measure/weigh liquids, using percentages as reference
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
