A Growing Manufacturing Company is seeking an Estimator for a facility in South Shore, MA!

This individual should have experience in a made to order – per customer specification, highly technical, manufacturing environment. Must have a high degree of knowledge and experience in the area of machining or fabrication of machined components and various manufacturing process methods.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Review and interpret customer designs and specifications to develop manufacturing methods and processes for the purpose of generating cost estimates; including labor, material, and sub-tier processing
  • Determine key variables for cost and other estimates
  • Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times etc.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass preemployment drug and background screenings
  • Broad experience with manufacturing methods for precision parts
  • The ability to understand and assimilate complex Customer requirements such as Drawings, specifications, and Product Performance outputs into manufacturing processes
  • Ability to review and analyze financial data as it relates to pricing and specific departmental profitability
  • Computer proficiency with CAM (SurfCAM/GibbsCAM preferred) and Office
  • Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques. Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent professional written communication skills
  • Excellent project and program management skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations
  • Self-motivated
