DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Works safely and follows implemented safety policies of the plant (e.g., PPE, safe work permits, lock-out, tag-out)
• Coordinates and performs preventative maintenance on instrument and electrical (I&E) equipment according to schedule.
• Evaluate failed components for ability to rebuild.  Rebuilds and works with inventory storeroom to re-stock repaired items.
• Assists during the execution of unscheduled repairs on production and facilities equipment
• Understands wiring diagrams, piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID’s), process flow sheets, schematics, technical manuals, etc.
• Interfaces frequently with operators to ensure completion of scheduled tasks on time with minimal impact to production


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing trade formal training, or Military equivalent required
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 2-3 years in a similar role in a production environment, pipefitting experience required.  Prior work history within a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills required. Must be able to communicate in verbal and written English.
  • Must be computer literate and able to become proficient with Company-specific programs.

Major Mechanical Duties: 

Performs skilled work of average to considerable difficulty to accomplish a variety of mechanical maintenance tasks including:

  • Pipefitting (threaded, welded, tubing).
  • Welding.
  • Equipment setting and alignment.
  • Mechanical repair of pumps, valves, etc.
