Working at a bench or standing at a glove box, this role is responsible for welding and metal fabrication with a heavy focus on TIG welding of various components. 

Responsibilities

    • Build metal enclosures and  prototype parts
    • Weld and perform metal fabrication of stainless steels and carbon steels
    • Troubleshoot equipment
    • Collaborate with R&D teams to improve processes and component designs 

Requirements

    • Hands on and proven experience with TIG welding stainless steels and carbon steels
    • Demonstrated experience working in metal fabrication or assembly
    • Strong communication skills including verbal, listening, written and interactive
    • Proven ability to follow technical instructions
    • Experience using basic hand tools and machinery such as drill press and similar
    • Must be safety oriented and able to read, understand and constantly follow companywide safety instructions
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Basic computer skills for data entry and communicating with peers
    • CNC knowledge is a plus
    • Other welding experience such as laser, robot, MIG or welding of nickel/other exotic metals is a plus
