Responsibilities

• The Tape Machine Operator is responsible for coil handling which involves removing coils from skids, loading coals to the payoff, and measuring gauge and width of the material with measuring devices.
• Set up the designated tape machine by interpreting process sheets, setting machine parameters, and using lubrication.
• Examine, inspect, and measure raw materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
• Read production orders, blueprints, and mill schedule to determine setup specifications, work sequences, product dimensions, and installation procedures.
• Control and observe dial indicators in order to monitor, adjust and regulate speeds of machine mechanisms.
• Collaborate with Scheduling & Maintenance departments regarding production issues
• Performs data entry into the SAP software system
