Capital Equipment Manufacturing & Engineering Company seeking a Mechanical Assembler due to sustained growth. This is a first shift opportunity working full time, Monday through Friday; 7:00AM-3:30PM. Paying $30/HR.+ overtime if desired. 

  • Will be assembling products according to customers’ needs, following blueprints, specific job specifications, and oral and other written specifications
  • Plans assembly procedures, following specifications and using knowledge gained by experience
  • Mounts and connects auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic or hydraulic equipment; cuts and fits pipe and tubing
  • Removes small quantities of metal, using hand files or portable grinders, to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts. Drills, taps, or reams holes, using drill press or portable drill
  • Aligns components, and bolts, screws, or rivets them together, using hand tools or portable powered tools
  • Installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement
  • May bend and install pipe for hydraulic systems. May align and mesh gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears
  • May operate drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation. May test or assist in testing operation of completed product

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints/drawings
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ITAR Certified (Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident of the USA)
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds reputedly throughout 8 hour shift
