This is a hands-on manufacturing position in our optics department requiring a strong technical aptitude working in a small and growing optics manufacturing company.   Duties as required for the manufacturing of optical components to optical, and mechanical specifications following established procedures.  When required may involve cleaning and inspection of components. Pre and final machining of optical components following established procedures.  Ability to learn and use technical computer application programs. Ability to learn, use, and understand metrology equipment such as Vernier’s, micrometers, microscopes and other optical measuring equipment. Experience in detailed manufacturing across multiple functions. Experience in CNC machining a plus. Ability to work and run multiple machines. Ability to see clearly with or w/o correction, use of microscope may be required. Ability to keep written logs of work. Must have knowledge of basic math calculations
