We are seeking an experienced motivated individual to fill a role as a Production Supervisor. Candidates must have prior experience with supervision, machinery, hand tools, and an ERP system in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Daily supervision of Manufacturing Associates with the ability to perform Utility tasks as needed to meet production deadlines.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure production deadlines are being met
  • Perform as a working member of the team as necessary to meet production targets, set the pace.
  • Assign work to associates and monitor both efficiency and quality of their work
  • Ensure all work procedures are followed
  • Report vacation and time off requests to the office
  • Promptly report performance issues and participate in disciplinary activities
  • Participate in the interview/onboarding of team members
  • Report job overruns/underruns to Management
  • Fairly and consistently promote, enforce and reinforce all company policies
  • Lead team in the application of lean manufacturing tools, including 5S, Visual Management, etc.
  • Ensure that team boards are completed accurately and on time and that metrics are utilized to develop corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide production employees with guidance, direction, and supervision in support of departmental operations
  • Actively promote all company policies and expectations, especially in support of safety plans and results
  • Maintain a positive work environment by regularly communicating with employees on the responding floor and responding to employee issues and concerns in a timely manner

Requirements

3-5 years of supervisory/management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in Lean manufacturing preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership, engagement and mentoring skills
  • Enthusiastic and possess the ability to motivate others
  • Ability to maintain excellent attendance record
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 3+ years relevant experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred
