Responsible for overseeing quality inspection processes on their assigned shift, ensuring product compliance with quality standards and specifications. As the shift lead, they will support quality improvement initiatives, mentor junior inspectors, and work closely with production to resolve quality issues. Perform advanced inspections on materials, components, and products to verify compliance with quality standards. Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections; review complex products for functional and dimensional accuracy. Record and analyze inspection results in detailed reports; provide comprehensive feedback to production and QA teams. Identify, document, and escalate defects; work closely with production to investigate root causes and drive corrective actions. Review and verify incoming materials against supplier documentation and conduct in-depth inspections for critical parts. Ensure all materials comply with required specifications, standards, and quality benchmarks. Oversee the calibration and maintenance of inspection tools; ensure tools are accurate and available for all shifts. Develop and update quality inspection procedures, providing guidance on best practices. Monitor quality trends across shifts and recommend or lead quality improvement initiatives to senior management.
