Responsible for all aspects of Sales for all of the company  as well as assisting the General Manager to advance and grow the entire organization. This position forms the essential liaison between the customer and the company and is part of the company’s management team. The Director generates new sales opportunities directly or via manufacturer’s representatives with current and potential new accounts.  Develop an annual forecast in conjunction with the General Manager which details the annual sales by territory. Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented with the sales team. Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including customer visits, presentations, closed sales and follow-up activities. Maintain and update the Quotation – Award Activity log for bookings, monthly and annual forecast using a twelve (12) monthly format. Generate sales opportunities in conjunction with the core business competencies. Manage ongoing relationships with current customers and the company’s manufacturer’s representatives. Act as the liaison between the customers and manufacturer’s representatives and in-house teams including but not limited to Design Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering and Production.  Participate in local and national trade conferences and exhibitions either as an exhibitor or an attendee.  Ensure that key accounts have a very high level of customer satisfaction at all levels. Responsible for all manufacturer’s representatives including the appointment of new agents. Monitor activity of sales representatives. When necessary, make recommendations to management for the termination of representatives not meeting company’s expectations. Ability to travel locally, nationally and internationally as required. Travel consisting of approximately 30-40% of the calendar year.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Five (5) plus years of technical sales, project management, or other customer service experience.  Good computer skills.
