Duties include monitoring press performance, part quality, and efficiency maximization. Also, this person shall identify problems in processes and offer suggestions for solving the situation.

Operate and monitor machines; start equipment and record operational data.

Review work orders and production schedules to determine materials, specifications, and tolerances.

Inspect finished workpieces for defects (e.g., chipped edges, marred surfaces) and sort flawed items by defect type.

Perform various fabrication tasks: sawing, cutting, shearing, slitting, punching, crimping, notching, bending, and straightening materials.

Measure finished parts using tools like micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers to ensure quality standards.

Troubleshoot issues in the stamping process.

Evaluate current procedures and recommend process improvements.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, procedure manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, and safety rules.
- Necessary math skills required, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
