Will operate electrical discharge machines (EDM) such as to shape metal workpieces that adhere to extremely tight tolerances.

EDM person who can set up and Operate EDM machines 

  • Proves-out, sets-up, operates, and verifies the quality of product on EDM machines 
  • Performs routine or repetitive operations 
  • Performs set-ups, without assistance for EDM equipment 
  • Works from drawings and/or specifications as well as other Traveler instructions 
  • Ability to perform routine wire EDM machine maintenance including P&M

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associates degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship is a plus
  • 5+ years prior experience with operating wire EDM machines .
  • Must be able to read and work from drawings
  • Must have measuring tools experience (micrometers, calipers, etc
  • Must have solid math skills
