Ideally, the candidate will have electronics assembly experience, having utilized a microscope / magnification. Must be able to successfully pass and retain J-STD (Soldering) Certification and other training certifications, as assigned. All training and testing to be provided by the company. Circuit Board soldering / through-hole / surface mount experience a must. Experience working with microscopes desired. In order for candidates to be considered, they must be able to demonstrate the ability to properly use a soldering iron and properly apply components onto an electronics board. All candidates that are invited to the facility will be given a soldering test prior to any type of traditional interview. Only candidates that successfully complete the soldering test will meet with the Operations Manager and HR. Will be assembling and soldering components on printed circuit boards and installing cable assemblies. Install components such as switches, transformers, resistor chips, capacitors, relays, transistors, and semiconductors on circuit boards. Touch up, repair, inspect, and clean circuit boards. Ability to read Assembly drawings, and follow verbal instructions regarding assignments. Aligns and assembles parts, such as leads, coils, wires, and terminals into housing, use of hand tools, power tools, soldering irons, tweezers, pliers, cutters, and microscopes. Replaces defective components and wiring, using hand tools and soldering iron. Repair defective PCB rejected by inspection or test personnel. Enter information in computer such as serial numbers, flow sheets information, rework notes.
