Local Manufacturer is seeking a motivated EDM Machinist to join their 1st shift team. This position has room for internal growth and advancement within the company.

This is a direct hire opportunity working full time, Monday through Friday; 7:00AM-3:30PM with overtime available! This position is paying $40/HR+ for a candidate eager for a new opportunity to grow within this company, long term. 

Job Duties:

• Interpretation of blueprints/engineering drawings
• Operate EDM (electrical discharge machine) and ProtoTRAK machines to cut parts and wire parts to specified lengths/dimensions or with features (slots, holes etc.)
• Learn to program machines (Company will instruct) using text/numeric based computer (HMI) interface and setup jobs independently
• Perform basic troubleshooting if part production is out of quality parameters
• Confirm finished product meets dimensional and visual characteristics required
• Manage equipment, fixtures, machine consumables and maximize up time for multiple process steps
• Will be responsible for the programming, setting up and operation of CNC Milling/ OR Lathe machinery depending on your expertise/preference
• Must be able to make edits to machine when necessary
