Growing Manufacturer is seeking a Machine Shop Electrical Technician/Assembler. This is a first shift opportunity working full time, Monday through Friday; 6:00AM-2:30PM. This position is paying depending on experience $23-$33/HR.

Job Duties:

  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
  • Assemble, install, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, control panels, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies and other electrical components
  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
  • Diagnose, locate the cause of, and repair malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment
  • Work closely with engineers from design conception through installation
  • Ensure all work adheres to relevant electrical safety codes and regulations

Requirements

Requirements:

    • Reading electrical schematics
    • Installing fixtures and electrical components
    • Knowledge of NEC and local codes
    • Measuring, cutting, and bending conduit efficiently
    • Troubleshooting, testing, and repairing electrical equipment
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Stand for 8 hours a day
    • At least two years of relevant experience
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Acceptable ability to follow written or oral instructions
    • Basic computer literacy
    • Mechanical orientation
    • Strong quality focus
    • Ability to work well with hands
    • Ability to pass preemployment drug and background screenings
