Will perform repairs, testing, and maintenance on laser systems and components under the guidance of senior staff. Perform repairs, testing, and maintenance of laser systems and subsystems in the service depot. Follow detailed work instructions and repair documentation to complete service tasks accurately. Assist in troubleshooting of mechanical, electronic, and optical components under supervision. Prepare systems and components for shipment, including inspection and proper packaging. Enter service data into ERP and CRM systems to document completed repairs. Collaborate with senior technicians on complex repairs and escalations. Participate in ongoing training to build skill sets across mechanical, electrical, and optical systems. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in alignment with 5S principles. Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying minor process improvements. Perform optical rework, repair, and refurbishment of fiber laser assemblies within the service repair organization Execute fiber splicing and rework of complex optical assemblies, including multi-fiber and high-power configurations Inspect optical and fiber-based components for contamination, damage, misalignment, and performance degradation Clean, assemble, and reassemble optical and fiber components using approved service repair and clean handling procedures Handle, route, splice, and protect optical fibers during repair activities to ensure optical integrity and reliability Support failure analysis and troubleshooting of optical and fiber-related issues in returned units Perform repairs in compliance with laser safety, EHS, and quality requirements Document repair actions, findings, splicing activities, and test results in RMA and service repair systems.
