Set up and Operates machines in both our grinding departments. Berger Grinders in both grinding departments, Sputnik honer, I.D. O.D. Machines, Micrometers, Calipers, Hand trucks. Plug gauges, Dial bore gauge, O.D. Mics. Responsible for starting machine and all Preventative maintenance to start machine. Responsible for reading all Manufacturing order instructions to ensure job is run correctly and for making adjustments to feeds, speeds, and grinding wheels. May be required to transfer from one machine to another. Responsible for adhering to and meeting all production rates as set forth on job instructions and for filling out all daily production and machine reports. Responsible for the quality of the product being manufactured. Responsible for the reporting of scrap and the reason behind scrap or non-conforming material. Responsible for verifying counts of incoming work and out-going work in there operation. Attend production meetings as required and all machine breakdowns and safety related issues to supervisor.
