Job Description:
The Bearing Engineer will design and modify bearing components and assemblies to meet customer requirements while developing and improving manufacturing processes that support quality, efficiency, and cost reduction. This position will provide technical support to Sales, create component and vendor drawings, review customer designs for manufacturability, develop cost models, and assist with new product development. The engineer will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Tooling, Machining, Assembly, and Press Room personnel to resolve production issues, develop work instructions, design progressive and compound dies, implement Lean improvements, and lead engineering projects from concept through completion.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience, along with a background in mechanical design, drafting, or manufacturing engineering. Experience with bearing components, metal stamping, machining, assembly processes, tooling design, and case-hardening heat treatment is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD or SolidWorks, blueprint reading, engineering drawings, GD&T and tolerancing, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access, with strong problem-solving, communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
