Summary:
Quality Control Inspectors performs incoming, in-process, and production inspection of the product to ensure compliance with approved specifications as needed. Quality control inspectors may work from various locations, from assembly to quality control departments. This may involve long hours of standing at a time, depending on the location.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
• Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor.
• Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste and inputs data into a quality database.
• Promote and maintain safe, clean work environment practices within the inspection and Packaging work center.
• Following production plans and priorities to meet customer demands.
• Ensuring all fabrication Traveler Work Orders and inspection log sheets are filled out to procedures and maintained.
