Job Summary: The Lead Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for overseeing and executing maintenance activities to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of machinery and equipment in a production environment. This role involves managing a team of maintenance technicians, troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians to ensure timely and effective maintenance of equipment and machinery.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production machinery, electrical systems, and other equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Manage inventory and order parts and supplies as needed to maintain machinery and equipment.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Train and mentor junior maintenance team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Oversee emergency repairs and ensure minimal downtime in production operations.
