The Powder Coat Technician is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal and other surfaces using powder coating equipment and techniques. This role ensures that all coated parts meet quality standards and customer specifications. The technician plays a critical role in the finishing process of manufactured products and must follow safety and environmental regulations.

Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed.

Operate powder coating equipment (manual or automated).

Apply powder coatings evenly to products using spray guns and other tools.

Monitor baking/curing ovens and ensure parts are properly cured.

Inspect coated items for quality, thickness, color consistency, and finish.

Touch up or rework defective coatings when necessary.

Maintain clean and organized work area, including equipment maintenance.

Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment (PPE).

Track inventory of coating materials and request supplies when needed.

Document daily production and report issues to the supervisor.
