The Quality Technician is responsible for conformity to internal and customer specifications. They are required to perform 1st piece inspection of production parts and approval of incoming and outgoing products. The Technician also works to improve plant wide quality communication bi-departmentally by providing information to employees about defects and customer complaints.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing quality assurance and control throughout the company.
- Responsible for care of quality inspection equipment in the plant and warehouse.
- Inspects for internal compliance with established specifications.
- Audits departmental processes to see that procedures are being followed and all pertinent documentation is completed.
- Inspects and documents the returned goods from customers accurately.
- Notifies management of any quality issues that effect production or customer.
- Inspects outgoing material prior to shipment.
- Works with department supervisors and company management to identify and correct product/process areas of concern,
- Must be able to perform ISIR and PPAP's
- Understanding of the calibration of quality measuring equipment
- Communicates and assists in correcting customer complaints regarding quality.
