Assembly of prototypes per written or verbal specifications. Hands-on experience soldering, wiring, crimping, and connecting electrical hardware. Work with the Engineering staff to assist in identifying issues, improving practices, and troubleshooting problems. Follow test procedures and document results. Follow processes to evaluate performance and validate device functionality . Troubleshoot assembly challenges. Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment, on multiple projects at one time. Knowledge and capability in the safe usage of hand & power tools, and inspection equipment. Regular direct interaction and support of the on-site engineering teams. Multimeter Use: Set up a Digital Multi-Meter (DMM) and measure the resistances of components. Mechanical Inspection, Use a micrometer and gauge pins to inspect parts while referencing engineering drawings. Hand soldering through-hole components onto a PCB; hand soldering a surface mount component onto a PCB to effect a repair.
