Job Description
The Vacuum Technician will support production operations by performing vacuum processing, leak checking, equipment setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and critical measurements on various components and systems. This position will work with vacuum systems, gas handling equipment, cryogenic equipment, pumps, sensors, and other production machinery, while also assisting with machine assembly, wiring, preventive maintenance, unplanned repairs, equipment breakdowns, and longer-term equipment upgrades.

 

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required with an Associate degree in a related technical field preferred, or 5–10 years of relevant manufacturing experience. Candidates must have experience troubleshooting and maintaining vacuum equipment in a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of roughing pumps, blowers, turbo pumps, cryogenic vacuum pumps, vacuum sensors, machine assembly, wiring, and component-level troubleshooting. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, the ability to follow detailed work instructions, solid manufacturing knowledge, and basic Microsoft Office skills are also required.
